API Equality-LA General Coalition Meeting

Join us in celebrating the recent passage of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act! The act adds sexual orientation, gender and disability as protected classes under the federal hate crime statute. API Equality-LA Co-chair Marshall Wong will also share the most recent statistics on hate crime in Los Angeles County with a special emphasis on homophobic, anti-trans, and anti-Asian crimes. Also, meet API Equality-LA's new community organizer Brian Nguyen who started on the job in November!

When: Tuesday, January 12th | Dinner at 6:45pm followed by the meeting from 7:00pm – 8:30pm
